It's about freaking time! Now military veterans of the Pagan and/or Wiccan persuasion can have pentacles inscribed on government-issued memorial markers for their graves.

I think this came from the misconception that it was a demonic sign. I remember when I was in the Army and we had a guy going to NTC (national training center) with my unit from a different one. We were checking religious beliefs for just in case. This guy said he was a witch and we all laughed because we thought he was fooling around. He wasn't, we all looked dumb and felt bad. The Military itself has alwayse been very accepting of the different religions. There was a saying: No matter what you were before, now you are green and so is everyone else.

I jumped for joy and actually yelled Thank the fucking GODS! when I read this. But, then, the fact that I'm a veteran, and just might want a pentacle on my headstone when I'm gone had a bit to do with it, too. :)

This fight has taken WAY too long. But, I'm not getting up on my soapbox right now, and not getting into it. Just stating that I'm ecstatic that they finally got off their damned asses and approved it.
